(More customer reviews)I spent a great deal of time comparing different purifiers: cost, performance, ease of use, noise, filter replacement, etc. This unit is superb in every respect. The unit is large but is very handsome and blends in well with the room. It has a very smooth fan that is not too loud but but you can really feel it move the air. There is one filter to replace and they are not terribly expensive and easy to find. In short, I think this unit really meets my needs while being fairly inexpensive and, over the past 6 months, 100% reliable.

Offering a space-saving, streamlined modern design that's nicely portable from room to room, the 3M Filtrete FAP03-RS Ultra Clean air purifier is designed for rooms where daily activity is frequent. Better than HEPA purifiers at capturing large airborne particles from the air passing through the filter, it's 99.9 percent effective at capturing allergens as small as 0.1 microns--including pollen, mold spores, and dust mite debris.
The FAP03-RS cleans rooms up to 350 square feet, and it can be placed unobtrusively against a wall. It can be run continuously in both conversational and sleeping areas, and purifier has a 58dB noise output (compared to 65dB in other competitive models). The unit also features three fan speeds that are controlled by a rotary knob.
This 3M Filtrete air purifier has a filter with electostatically-charged fibers, and it is equipped with a state-of-the-art filter life analyzer. Unlike timers and other conventional filter change indicators, the analyzer recognizes gradual changes in the filter condition over time and displays a warning signal when it is time to change the filter. The unit measures 20 by 9-1/4 by 28 inches (WxDxH) and measures 22-1/2 pounds. It's backed by a 1-year limited warranty

(More customer reviews)If your clothes dryer doesn't seem to dry properly, check the ventilation run. Most dryers are meant to be vented along a fairly short run, and if they aren't your performance will go down the tubes. Our dryer took 2 cycles to dry a medium-sized load of laundry. While trying to figure out why, we realized that not only was our duct run too long (be several feet) but we also had three turns. This is enough to kill performance (doesn't dry in one cycle, excessive lint build-up). We ordered and installed the Fantech Booster fan and the secondary lint trap and it's like having a new dryer! I would strongly suggest purchasing the secondary lint trap at the same time as the booster fan, to save on lint going through the fan itself. A nice feature of the fan is the auto-sensing on/off. It starts when the dryer starts and runs in 10-minute cycles (then continuing to run if the dryer is still running). The cycling keeps it from running after the dryer finishes.
Goodbye fire-hazard lint build-up, and hello lower electric bills!
