(More customer reviews)The description states that this will shut off after 10 seconds of last activity - however, these shut off after 30 seconds of no activity. Actually, after 30 seconds it dims down slowly then completely shuts off (looks sort of cool how it does that too).
It has a very nice design, and you can angle the light panel to the position you want. What I did to install one light up quickly on a ceiling and another on a wall was to use heavy duty sticky back velcro strips. Works like a charm. These lights are very handy and even my picky husband likes them.
I hunted all over town for these lights (Target, Kmart, Walmart, Fred Meyers, Home Depot, and Lowes) but no one carried them nor had they even heard of these type of lights! All they carried were very small plug in 1 to 3 LED type lights. Don't they know that not all hallways or closets have plug in outlets? This type of light makes an excellent choice to do the job where there is no access to an electrical outlet.

Just take one of these Spotlights, put the batteries in, attach with two screws and you have light! And it's bright! It has motion detector so the light goes on only when my dog or I walk by. Otherwise you don't have to worry about leaving it on and wasting electricity. Great idea - great product!

(More customer reviews)We've had this light for about a month now and it is working wonderfully! It can be mounted as one piece or comes apart so the solar panel can be mounted for best exposure. In addition to a couple of shorter settings, this light has a 3 minute setting on it, but as long as you are moving within the range of the motion detector, it will stay on constantly. Compared to our other solar light, this one does a fantastic job of lighting the area we intended it for. We fully intend to get another of these lights very soon.

(More customer reviews)Just added this to the bottom of our apartment's formerly unsafe and dark stairway. Powered by the 4 size C batteries, my only worry was whether this would sufficiently illuminate the section (the reason I ruled out a solar powered unit; these tend to put out as much light as a birthday candle). Initially tested the unit indoors and I was pleasantly surprised to see the LEDs put out a great deal of light...enough to read by. Installation is a breeze, the motion sensor is sensitive enough to turn on from about 6-8' away, and hopefully the light lives up to the 6-12 month battery replacement claims. Only negative is not specific to this unit, but of LED lighting technology: the lights are so cold blue, it sometimes looks like a new car headlight is shining downward. Wonder why manufacturers do not include a slightly warm-tinted clear film to alter the light's colour a bit. But overall, think this is a perfect renter's choice in adding some safety lighting outdoors.

It only took a few minutes to install and does a great job at lighting up the stairs without being too bright. The sensor turns on the light only when you approach the stairs and there is an ajustment so that you can set the amount of time the lights stay on.
I also like that the design is not too bulky and blends in fairly well with the trim going up the stairs.
Overall, I'm very happy with this product and would recommend it for a quick and easy way to light an area without getting an electrician involved.

They put out a good deal of light which is nice in the winter in Alaska and save on electricity because they are motion detecting. I was so impressed that I bought all that they had at Ft. Wainwright commissary. They are cheaper on post!
