The items in the door are barely chilled, not cold....the freezer either doesn't freeze at all OR freezes so well that everything on the top shelf freezes too...all without touching the temperature dial. On the positive - it's a nice size.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this refrigerator for my office. It is to be shared by a group of 5 people, so I wanted one that was a little bigger than the typical compacts. I paid for overnight deliverly as others had suggested. The unit arrived in a box that had been previously opened. I was a bit worried when I removed the item from the box. It had some large dents on the side, but was otherwise ok. Once I plugged it in, I realized there were bigger issues. The motor was very loud and was cycling constantly. It would run for seven minutes and then would be off for four minutes, then on for seven, off for four - yes I actually timed it. Everytime the unit came on it startled me. At first I thought that once the motor broke in, that it would become quiet. That did not happen. After having the unit for 24 hours and spilling a cup of coffee on my desk from my rattled nerves, I called Amazon for a replacement unit.
The new refrigerator arrived the next day. Once again, it arrived in a box that had previously been opened. The replacement had a large dent on the door, but otherwise works great. It is so quiet. I barely notice it when the motor is running. What a difference! I actually check it on occasion to make sure that it is working because I don't notice it at all. I switched doors with the first refrigerator and now I have a unit that has no significant dents and it doesn't interrupt my work environment. The actual refrigerator is nice looking and has a lot of interior space. After the experience with the first one, I am a bit concerned about the reliability, but for now, I am satisfied.

(More customer reviews)Love this Refrigerator. It is not only exceptionally nice looking, but super quite and extremely functional. Lots of usable room inside, particularly since there is no center post between the doors. We almost always get complements on it when we have company. The price on this was more than we origanally planned on spending, but than we where fortunate to find a floor model at Home Depot for a good price.
My only gripes are the stainless doors show prints very easily and it seems like we are constantly cleaning them. Plus the ice cube storage does not hold as much as a normal ice bin, although under normal circumstances it is more than enough for my wife and I. Living in Florida we do use ice year round on a regular basis, and the size of the storage bin has not been a problem for us. If we are having company we just plan ahead and put some in the main freezer ahead of time. Besides that we have had this refrigerator for over a year now with abselutly no problems.
The exterior ice and water dispensers on the door is a one of a kind arrangement, only found in this make to my knowledge. It has the room where you can fill a whole pitcher of water or ice from it. It also has a LED control panel on the door exterior, with buttons for 8 different functions. Such as ice crushed or cubes, " it also makes 3 different size ice cubes ". It has 2 buttons, one each to set the temp. for the Frig. and the Freezer. It has a ice plus button, when pressed will make ice cubes faster in the event you have company. It has a button to light the panel up, also one to lock the panel. The last button is to reset the water filter expiration timer, which is displayed on the LED panel. There is easy access to the water filter which is in the inside of the refrigerator.
The doors are also unusual in that they close hydraulically to make sure they are closed and will set off an alarm if they are not fully closed. Also when a door is open all the fans turn off to help maintain the inside temperature.
The interior lighting is outstanding, you won't miss much with all the LED lights inside this frig. There is a panel of 12 LED lights on the top of the interior. Than there are 2 panels of LED lights on the back wall, one on each side. The panels run from the top all the way to the bottom. Gone are the days of trying to change that small light bulb, that seemed to burn out more frequently than it should.
The ice cube maker is inside the the front door which is unusual since it has nothing to do with the regular freezer, it's a separate unit. The freezer has the main bin on the bottom and another fairly large sliding bin on top of that. It holds quite a bit with it's inside door storage.
All I can say is this refrigerator far exceeds any refrigerator I have previously owned, and would highly recommend it.

(More customer reviews)Excellent piece of machinery, build quality is top notch, unit is quiet as a church mouse. Most importantly, the cooling capability is restaurant quality. The two zones works incredibly well. Anyone who knocks this fridge because of ice production is in need of an Igloo, because this it produces boat loads of ice. Recovery time may not be super quick but name a fridge that.
FIrst Impressions:
1) cooling is excellent, cools evenly food lasts a long time.
2) Power Cool/Freeze feature is sheer genius. Froze my melted ice cream in less than an hour
3) Door Seal system is designed to last and function as it should
4) Freezer has loads of space, a little tricky to find stuff, but two tiers of storage help this quite a bit
5) Water tastes clean, clear, crisp and refreshing. Did a side by side taste test with Poland Spring, couldn't tell the difference
6) slow-to-bright LEDs are a wonderful feature, very slick
7) One of the full size shelves in the fridge is potentially useless
8) Wine bottle holder IS useless and so is the egg bin
9) EZ open handle on Freezer makes it effortless to open door, all others I tried required a good tug, which adversely effects seals.
10) Door alarm is very useful

(More customer reviews)I recently purchased a six GE profile products for my kitchen. The only one I am extremely unhappy with is GE Profile Refrigerator. Model # PSHS6PGZSS. I have had two repair men from the company I purchased the unit from as well a GE representative who confirmed this is the second call he was on in two day for the same problem. He advised that it was a new model. Not only does the refrigerator "moan" while the gases are compressing. It also has a high pitched noise that is as annoying as nails on a chalk board. I am a stay at home mom with a very active kitchen. Even my children's 16 year old friends ask, "whats wrong with that frig" or "do you have something locked up in there". I recently was in my office two rooms away and I could her my frig over the dryer...as I sit here posting this review and I am well aware that my new $1800.00 refrigerator is running. I must go now and turn the TV on to drowned out the sounds. Oh, and my neighbor just bought a Kenmore...spend a nice "quite" evening in her kitchen last week.
