(More customer reviews)This lamp is adorable. It is very colorful and pretty in my daughter's new Ariel princess room. My only complaint is, you can't just turn on the lamp by the lamp switch or the switch on the wall. In addition, you have to press this little star on the right side, which can be hard to find in the dark. Then the lamp lights up, Ariel moves, and you hear Sebastian's and Ariel's voices reciting phrases from the movie. It's very cute, and both my son and daughter are very entertained by it. But sometimes you want to just turn on a light in the room. So I moved another lamp to the location that is connected to the main switch on the wall, and moved the Ariel lamp to the dresser.

(More customer reviews)I had to have this the first time I saw it!! A friend sent me an email photo of the full size 40" LEG LAMP. The full size model was just too expensive. I couldn't justify spending that kind of money on something I'm only going to drag out once a year. The 20" model is great. I only payed 40 bucks for it at SUNCOAST VIDEO.
MAKES A EXCELLENT HOLIDAY GIFT FOR THAT HARD-TO-BUY-FOR FRIEND WHO LOVES THE MOVIE.
It's a realistic replica of the one Daren McGavin receives in CHRISTMAS STORY. The lamp shade is made with a nice fabric, it's the right color, and it has the cheesy fringe around the bottom. The leg is wrapped in a beautiful fishnet stocking and has a standard socket on top. It also lights up inside the leg. Which begs the question; how am I gonna get inside the leg to change THAT bulb once it burns out? The lamp doesn't come with instructions or a switch on the cord. There is a sticker on the socket with a WARNING: DUE TO THE RISK OF FIRE DO NOT TO USE ANYTHING LARGER THAN A 40 WATT BULB, so you won't catch the lamp shade on fire. Also the leg stands a tiny bit crooked, which is okay because it's supposed to look cheesy. Just don't tighten the shade all the way down and it will level out and hang nicely. Mine is displayed prominently in my living room window. Who needs a Christmas tree?...
After all, "IT'S A MAJOR AWARD!!"

The silver color and frosted/crackle shade are attractive and the touch-sensitive power feature is great for turning the light on without fumbling around in the dark too much. The three way bulb is also nice for different reading light preferences.
There's not much to say other than this lamp has the look and feel of a quality item costing much more. I highly recommend this purchase!
