However the description on their own web site neglects to mention the need to install an electronic module inside the fan. They also don't state which fan models (In their own Line) this module will not fit. We bought a Ceiling hugger model and there was no room indide the fan for the module, it had to be located in the junction box above the fan. So while the fan control works great and as described there might be a bit of work involved wiring and installing the communications module.

This product is CLEAR Water Pearls, colors are caused by colored Lights. These are not little 10 gram packges that sell for less it is 225 grams and does a large amount of Water Pearls. This is just for a Bulk bag 8 ounces of Clear polymer pearls, they are created by simply adding water, the displays are not included. The Pearl balls are very tiny beads when you receive.Soaking in water causes them to expand into perfect miniature spheres, from 8-10MM in size or 1/4"-3/8" or larger. Small enough to fit in any vase.Use them to add some extra color to your decorating scheme by inserting our Colored Light-Ups with them, yes you can mix colors of lights. The silver color and frosted/crackle shade are attractive and the touch-sensitive power feature is great for turning the light on without fumbling around in the dark too much. The three way bulb is also nice for different reading light preferences.
There's not much to say other than this lamp has the look and feel of a quality item costing much more. I highly recommend this purchase!

(More customer reviews)This is a great product in theory. Solar panels (2) on top recharge two batteries. Light sensor on top determines when LED lights turn on and off.
PROS:
1. Three LED lights.. use very little energy; no issues with draining battery or not having direct sunlight for a few days.
2. Solar panels recharge the already low energy emitting LEDs; little to no maintenance (changing batteries).
3. Black casing makes for good contrast against the illuminated background.
CONS:
1. Totally NOT waterproof. There are seams that split this product in half and easily can leak water to the interior. (I have caulked every crevice to resolve this.. I want something that will last more than a year.).
2. Only three LED lights. LEDs do not provide high output, I suppose it is fine, however a few more LEDs would have better.
3. More reflective background needed. Ours is getting mounted against the house.. the black panel does not reflect light (So what I did was mount an 8x11 paper on the back to reflect/disperse the light better).
4. Better off throwing out the rechargeable batteries immediately when you get them.. they are CRAP.
IN SUMMARY:
Only one I have seen on the market that is illuminated; if this is what you want just make sure you are okay with spending time on waterproofing the unit and spending $ on replacing the provided rechargeable batteries.

(More customer reviews)This is an awesome piece of art, but the pictures are very misleading. The panels are silver- bright silver- similar to aluminum. It is all the lighting that makes it look the way it does in the pictures- the real art has no color at all. Clearly, he has it at his studio with some amazing lighting. Also, the pictures make it look very long. The panels are only 2 ft. long- where as the pictures make it look like they're huge. So just check his description, and read my review, and you'll know what you're getting.
Overall, great piece of work, but we got it for a room with brown accents, and it doesn't match. Quick fix, we'll get a cool track lighting to go over it, to shine it, giving it the golden look. Great piece though, I would definitely recommend it, and I will probably get another piece of art.

These work perfectly for what they are intended for, but note that the beam is rather narrow (36") and that the inside coating is reflective, rather than translucent. I bought these for a chandelier with translucent glass shields, and I didn't realize that translucent bulbs are really important for this use. These reflect a greater amount of light towards the subject and thus less into the rest of the room through the translucent glass. But that was my bad, not the bulbs. The bulbs are, as I said, exactly what they say they are and I didn't sufficiently appreciate what I should have for my application.

Too bad the fish don't move as the light changes color, but that's not a big deal. Overall, a very nice item. Will be good to use when traveling and staying in hotels where you need some type of light to guide you in a dark room in the middle of the night.

shape for an aquarium. I guess this lamp would be good for under a kitchen cabinet, or for a closet, where you need a blast of light in all directions.
The light comes out from 3 sides, not like an aquarium light. The shape of the lamp is like a U. The picture of the lamp in the packaging is inadequate to describe its shape, its mounting, and where the light comes out, the length of cord,and so on.

I am a professional kitchen designer and installer, and elected to use this rack rather than the one available from the cabinet manufacturer. It worked our better, as we are using a low profile flourescent light fixture above it. We mounted the back side of the rack to the extended back of the cabinet, and made some spacers for the front installation point. The recessed light is above the rack, and is hardwired, so it is not necessary to switch it on and off at the fixture, which is a must. It is a little difficult to relamp the fixture, but it can be done without removing the rack. The effect of the stemware lit from above is quite dramatic. I will definitely use this installation detail again.

Lowell E1-92 Ego Two Light Set Review

(More customer reviews)I've been using the Lowell Ego 2-Light Set for a few years now and all I can tell you is not to waste your money. Every time I set it up I promise myself I'll never use it again.
You'd be better off getting a light tent or an EZ Cube. They give better light diffusion anyway.
Setting up the Lowell Ego is a Royal Pain. Everything is made of cheap plastic. The "fin" that holds up the backdrop is made of clear plastic that is "scored" and will eventually break off from continuous folding and unfolding. It has a tendency to want to fold back, making the backdrop holder collapse in the middle of a shoot.
The hardest part is trying to fit the bulb sockets in the plastic holders inside the diffusers. You are supposed to reach in from the top of the diffuser, bend down two plastic holders, put the bulb sockets through the holes and secure them with little rubber caps. That works fine if you have four hands. And the rubber caps have a habit of coming off and shooting across the room before you can get the bulbs in to secure the entire assembly.
The diffuser panels are supposed to fit in slots in the bottom of the light socket assembly. However, they keep slipping out. It's not a big deal though, as the system still works fine, even if the diffusers are not seated correctly.
If you do finally get everything together, the Lowell Ego works OK. It's not great, but it does the job. You can get some nice photos with this setup. But it's not worth the effort for what they charge you.
If you like to torture yourself, then by all means buy this. If not, go for one of those cube diffuser tents.

Each light takes 4 AA batteries, so buy a 12-pack too! The booklet recommends alkaline or lithium AA-cells with 1.5v rating -- your usual energizer/duracell AA battery, in other words. I had hoped to try the new Eneloop -long-lasting-charge rechargeables (i still might), but we'll see how long it takes for these batteries to die first.
these come with a mounting bracket and double-sided sticky patches; the sticky patches will be fine since these items only weigh 1% more than 4 AA batteries. :)
My hallway is dark at night, and i have these space every 5 feet along the floor. The light is somewhat directional, and i have 'em aimed down (as in the picture) so they illuminate mainly the floor (so you won't be blinded when stumbling to the loo in the middle of the night).
The motion sensor has a wide angle, and as i walk down my hall, the lights light up when i get within four feet (like an 80-degree angle) away, which is great. They light up at night, at dusk, at dawn, and when it's grey & cloudy like today. Yesterday was sunny, even (sort of) in my hallway, and they detected that and didn't light up.
So for about $50 (forty for the lights, ten for the batteries) i now have illumination in my hallway, my kids aren't scared of walking down it, my parents & in-laws need not worry about tripping... the only question is HOW LONG WILL THE AA'S LAST? I'll try to check in at 6 month intervals (comment to this and i'll receive an email alert if i need reminding.) ;^_^
