The glare it reflected from the adjacent rooms made it impossible to see the print. Placing this lamp beneath the print eliminated the glare and brought out the detail of the print. The brass finish makes it an excellent accent to the room. I am so impressed, I immediately ordered one as pending Christmas present for my daughter. (Don't tell her)
