(More customer reviews)The box screams "install in minutes.. not hours". Well, I'm a very experienced do-it-yourselfer with a garage full of tools and I found this "kit" a time consuming pain to install in hours--- not minutes. It consists of many parts, and instructions that give you a headache after you read them 5 times to figure out what to do, poor cheap photography hard to discern, etc. The "kit" comes with many parts. The killer is you have to drill 3 holes in the can body of your existing fixture ( not a whisper about that step on the box) which is way harder than it sounds. You have no room to position a drill in the small can body... and the metal can is hard to drill. You must use a punch to mark a precise point for the hole-- but the can moves around every time you try to hammer the punch. My drill "walked" all around the can even after using a punch. I felt like a dentist trying to work a drill and tools in such a small space! Then trying to get all the various parts to line up with an infinite variety of lights fixture is problematic. Bottom line- the product is not well designed and is very hard to install despite marketing claims to the contrary. I'm sure a better design is possible-- certainly a good product concept-- just poor design/execution.
