(More customer reviews)Got this for Mom's kitchen. She wanted an oak wall-mount paper towel holder, and this looks nice both in the pictures and when we got it. But...there is no dowel to run through the paper towel tube. Instead, it is spring-loaded, and there is about an inch of wood on each side that is supposed to hold the towel roll. You are supposed to pull out the handles on each side and then slide the towel roll in; the handles are supposed to spring back into place and hold it. The problem is, the handles don't pull out far enough and there isn't room to easily slip the towel roll into place. Mom has arthritis, and couldn't even pull the handles apart. So we tried to do it for her...and the entire knob assembly on one end came off. We are buying an oak dowel to use to hold the towel roll in place...very poor design.
