(More customer reviews)For over 2 months my wife and I looked EVERYWHERE to find the perfect unit to house our components since I just mounted the 40" LCD on the wall. We needed certain colors, height and width dimensions and also wanted to hide everything behind glass doors. This unit was PERFECT!
I had 2 concerns with this unit though.
1) My Harmony 880 Universal Remote (Buy one of these!!) wouldn't be able to penetrate the frosted glass.
2) Enclosing my components (most importantly the PS3 and receiver) behind doors would cause overheating.
I'm happy to report that none of my fears came true. The Harmony works through the frosted doors with ease.
I'm also happy to report that my components won't overheat. My last step in the building process was to attach the backing material to the unit. Before doing so I tried to wiggle the unit a little bit and it was rock solid. As a result I left the backing unit off so everything is open in the back.
If I was placing my TV on the stand then I probably would have installed the backing but since I don't have that weight I probably don't need the extra support.
I have nothing bad to say about this unit.

This attractive TV stand from South Shore Furniture’s City Life Collection almost matches the sleekness of the 50-inch flat screen television one might choose to place on it. The TV stand also provides two drawers below the open compartments for storing DVDs, CDs, device manuals, and other miscellany. With a tug on its metal pull handle, each drawer opens smoothly on its Smart Glide slides . Matching City Life bookcases are available separately to partner with the TV stand. The TV stand necessitates adult home assembly. For defective parts or workmanship, a five-year limited warranty covers this item upon online registration. The Smart Glide slides benefit from a lifetime warranty. Assembled, the TV stand measures 60 inches wide by 20 inches deep by 22 inches high and weighs 95 pounds.

(More customer reviews)This is a very attractive light, unobtrusively illuminating large items. It has a few drawbacks, however.
First, the mounting system lacks versatility and stability...one of mine is actually reinforced with tape, to be sure it stays up!
Second, the set-screw which stabilizes the rotation of the lamp can easi;ly dissappear into the lamp base if the lamp is not held UP onto the arm while tightening.
Third, it gets very hot, and I can find no guarantees that the light-type will not fade valuable artwork.
Fourth, there is little adjustment for height vis-a-vis the picture, and none for distance.
Fifth, the packaging and instructions do not mention the bulb-type needed for replacement.
On the plus side, it has the good looks just mentioned, as well as a very long neutral-colored cord.

In the first, we stated that we were happy with the product in terms of ease of installation (absolutely the easiest option when illumination of a piece of art is required) and light quality (is soft, pleasant, but strong) BUT dissatisfied with one of the light bulbs, which went out in less than 24 hours and proved to be expensive and arduous to replace. Since then, the company contacted us with an apology and offer to send replacements or refund. Thus, we would now like to express overall contentment with our purchase and customer service experience. We didn't expect anything to come out of our review and it made all the difference in the world that our complaint was immediately and fairly addressed. And, once more, we found the product to be extremely convenient to install, reasonable priced, and functional, especially in comparison to other picture light options, which we investigated ad nauseum.

(More customer reviews)The bulb and spring configuration in this product is a major design flaw allowing the whole assembly to "spring" apart if you don't have 2 pairs of hands. In addition, the whole assembly when plugged in gets so hot as to stir the fear of fire. I returned mine for these reasons.
